The Training and Support
In our facility or on-site you will receive a hands-on training with a theoretical background. Each Internship has a maximum of two participants to guarantee intensive education. The onsite training may have more students. The theoretical part consists of a Manual and a DVD comprising all information that was covered during the training. Each Internship or onsite training will be adapted to the educational level and specific requests of the participant. If one has already established their own facilities, the Internship can also be completed on-site.
The Til-Aqua management System equals high production of Tilapia seed using a high intensive reproduction method. During The Training all ins and outs are explained in order to produce the highest number of Tilapia fry / m2 possible.
Recirculation systems are the best systems to control fish in a hatchery. But how do they work and what are their advantages?
What parameters are affecting water quality and what are the risks of poor water quality? How can water quality be measured and how should these measurements be interpret What can be done to influence the various parameters?
All about systems start-up, Oxygen, pH, NH4+, NO2-, hardness, salt use, toxicity,...
To produce all-male Tilapia for faster growth, the use of hormones is common in Tilapia aquaculture. However, a better way is to use YY-males for the production of Natural Male Tilapia, without the use of hormones.
Understand the YY-technology by going through our breeding schedules step by step. Accomplish critical steps in the breeding program, such as determining male ratio and selecting female parents.
Next to the more complicated breeding program procedures, running a hatchery involves various day-to-day activities. Starting at being harvested until being packed for transport, each aspect of taking care of the fry will be discussed. There will be elaborated amongst others on feeding, cleaning, grading and health control. To work optimally with Recirculation systems, cleaning and disinfection are highly important; why and how to do this.
To get acquainted with all of these activities, we stimulate a hands-on approach as we are convinced the best way to learn is to actually do it.
How to keep your fish healthy by hygiene and other disease prevention protocols. And if a problem arises we show you how to deal with it.
Standard protocols, like parasite control, are introduced.
Our internships and externships offer a great possibility to get feedback on ideas or discuss a business plan and its feasibility. With our vast experience and the close contact with all our specialists of fish farming and recirculation systems we can offer new insights. Investment in an one-week Internship can save you a lot of money; please learn from the mistakes that were made in the past…!
At the end of your Internship, a certificate of participation will be issued.
